How to Apply
Becoming a Camper
Just fill out the application form below! We’ll review it and get back to you with the next steps.
1. Complete and Submit the Application Form: Navigate to the “Apply” page on our website. Fill out the application form with all necessary details and click the “Submit” button to send us your application.
2. Application Review: Applications close on July 1, 2024. Once our application window is closed, our committee will carefully review each camper’s application.
3. Decision Notification: There is no guarantee of acceptance into Camp buildHER. Once the review is complete, we will send an email notifying those who have been accepted. If you are accepted, this email will also include the next steps for Camp buildHER!
4. Attend the Camp: Join us at ANEW’s Training Center in Tukwila, WA for Camp buildHER – camp for returners will be August 7-9, and camp for first timers will be August 8 and August 9. Campers must be able to attend all days of Camp buildHER.

What is camp buildHER?
buildHER is a FREE 2-day camp that provides a unique, hands-on approach to construction careers for girls in grades 7-10. Camp is on August 31st and September 1st at ANEW’s Training Facility in Tukwila, WA.
What will I learn at camp buildHER?
Campers learn the basic elements of various construction trades and role models are on hand to support and mentor them every step of the way. Campers will get the opportunity to participate in engaging activities with a hands on approach, and will develop team building and leadership skills.
Who can apply for the camp?
Our camp is open to all girls in the 7th to 10th grade who have a keen interest in exploring the field of construction. No prior experience in construction is necessary.
How much does the camp cost?
Camp buildHER is completely FREE to campers! You’ll get breakfast and lunch while at camp, and lots of cool swag!
What is the application deadline?
We encourage you to apply as early as possible as spots are limited. The application deadline for the upcoming camp is July 14th, 2023.
How will I know if I got into the camp?
Each camper accepted to the camp will be contacted via the email listed on their application by August 1, 2023.
